Instructions for Authors
Submission of manuscripts to ANTA.
Authors are requested to send to the Editorial Board (E.B.) either the electronic version
of the paper by e-mail (preferably zipped .pdf or .ps files) or two hardcopies of the manuscript by mail.
The addresses for manuscript submission are:
anta@ictp.acad.ro
or
Revue d'Analyse Numérique et de Théorie de l'Approximation
"T. Popoviciu" Institute of Numerical Analysis
P.O. Box 68-1
Cluj-Napoca
Romania
In case of mail submission, the authors are requested to provide e-mail address
for further correspondence.
For e-mail submission, one may also use the following addresses:
ecatinas@cs.ubbcluj.ro,
dduca@math.ubbcluj.ro, but the above mentioned one is preferred.
Copyright Information
The submission of a manuscript carries with it the author's assurance that it has not been copyrighted
or published elsewhere (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, or thesis);
that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; that its publication has been approved by all coauthors,
if any, and, after being accepted by ANTA, it will not be published in another journal.
All manuscripts are refereed.
The hardcopies of the manuscripts sent by mail are not returned to the authors.
Preparing the LaTeX file of a manuscript accepted for publication in ANTA.
All accepted manuscripts are assigned to a forthcoming issue only after the author
provides the LaTeX file of the manuscript using the anta.sty style file of the ANTA journal
(please download and unzip anta.sty.zip).
For editing the LaTeX file we suggest to use either Scientific Word/Workplace
or WinEdt.
When using Scientific Word/Workplace:
1. create a new article (File/New), of type ''AMS Journal Article''
2. insert anta.sty in Typeset/Options and Packages/Packages/Go native
3. copy the anta.sty file in the same directory as the article to be edited.
Instead of 1.-2. one may open the template_07_10_17.tex file
(please download and unzip template-files-v_07_10_17.zip).
The file containing the article should be saved as Portable LaTeX file (and not as SW/SWP/SN file).
In the case of choosing Winedt, we suggest the MiKTeX system
(freely downloadable at http://www.miktex.org/).
Here you can download and unzip the template-files-v_07_10_17.zip file,
which may be used as a template.
Specific instructions:
The title should be brief, and should specifically describe the content of the paper.
The abstract, not exceeding 20 printed lines (approx. 200 words) summarizes
the main results obtained in the paper.
Lists of MSC 2000 Subject Classifications and Key Words should accompany all articles.
The subject classifications can be accessed at
http://www.ams.org/msc/
and
http://www.emis.de/ZMATH/.
The formulas may be numbered only if they are referred in the paper.
Well-known operators and functions, as well as the Latin constants have to be marked with
roman characters: div, grad, curl, log, exp, sin, cos, max, i, e, d (in integrals or when
differentiating).
The LaTeX commands are \operatorname{div}, \log, \sin, $\int f(x){\rm d}x$ etc.
All illustrations must be of professional quality with no handwritten elements.
They must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text.
Tables and algorithms are not considered figures and should not be treated as such.
Acknowledgments. The text of acknowledgments or notes should be written with normal characters.
References should be listed in alphabetical order.
The titles of journals should be abbreviated in accordance with Mathematical Reviews;
the list is available at
http://www.ams.org/msnhtml/serials.pdf
and
http://www.emis.de/ZMATH/.
